Is that the same one produced my Laserlyte? I have never really used a visible laser on a rifle before but with the small footprint and low weight that might just be worth giving a shot

Lee Indy- 11-27-2009

realtively cheap too. 179 and if you dont like it there clips on any pistol rail

I prefer a white light over a laser for a pistol but after watching a few guys run through a low light shoot house with a visible laser and see how handy they can be on my own handguns I think I might have to try one out for one of the ARs

i did a low light idpa side match with a under rail light and grip laser. i ran the course of fire twice. target locations changed each time. first time i used the light and found it was almost a pain. when i ran with just the laser target identifiying was harder but i didnt have to switch from target to sights i just kept looking at the the target. im gonna put laser grips on my new carry gun (getting a sti guardian when i get back) only thing ive ever really put on my ar was a light and d prefered to leave it off for weight reasons. this might go on and stay on.

Yeah I run a M6 light/laser combo on my work/carry pistol and find it MUCH more effective in low light than even combining my light with the tritium XS night sights I have

I also have a set of CT grips on one of my Kimbers and have already picked up a set for the M&P I haven't even bought yet haha

I'm running a LaserMax internal with a X300 w/DG switch on my G19 and it is very effective and the controls are all at the perfect location. Very natural feeling. What I like about the internal over all other lasers besides the obvious is the proximity of the laser to the bore. It is dead on and very easy on the batteries too. I can turn off the laser by simply returning it to the holster...

Not to mention the fact that you don't have to buy an unsightly holster (or expensive custom) to allow for the on rail type lasers. I think that the internals are by far the most efficient and accurate as well.

Very concealable, and add just the right amount of weight.

for a glock yes but for a 1911 i gota give it to the the crimson laser grips

true... i was speaking only in terms of pistols with rails (I don't consider 1911s with rails true 1911s, but more like the 2011s like the STI and the SA Operators)

I think the rail type pistols are better suited for the internals than the rail type lights, but that's coming from a civilian who has to conceal a pistol the easiest and most comfortable way.

My home defense gun will have one attached, but that is the AR or the shotgun, not the pistol.

ar is my HD gun. and my truck gun hell its never more than a few seconds away. when i get home ill have to take some pictures of my sweet ass custom carrier for my AR

sneedb82- 11-27-2009

Yes sir, that's a good idea! LOL.

If I didn't want to risk getting fired from a good paying job at the moment (still have to be able to afford to move too), i'd make my AR my car gun.... since I don't have a truck.

can't really substantiate putting it in the trunk, but then again, I guess i could!?

Lee Indy- 11-27-2009

technically if its locked in a trunk they need a warrant to look for it. and ive seen some bomb ass hidden mounts built for car trunks.

I have worn out two sets of Crimson Trace laser grips on my 1911. Just to let you guys know. The switch goes bad. It took about 2 years worth of use each time. The first time they gave me a new one for free. I have not contacted then yet this time. I think I am going to buy a Surefire x400 for my duty gun instead. that way I can have the light and the laser on the same pressure switch.
