Need help understanding clicks, MOA and what not
I have a match this weekend where we will be shooting out too 500 yards. I am going to be running my rock river 16 inch. The glass I am using is a Millet DMS-1. I currently have it zeroed at 100 yards with Federal XM193 55 Gr 5.56 and will be using the same ammunition.
While looking it over the adjustments for elevation are 1/2" at 100. The total clicks for a full turn is 60 clicks.
So for the glass and math geniuses how many clicks would it take to adjust the scope for 500 yards.
I am hoping to hit something this weekend since some targets are man sized silhouettes but others are golf balls, tennis balls, soft balls, balloons, 6 inch triangles and a infamous 3x8 inch ruler.
You're going to need around a 3 foot "hold over" at 500 yards.
I wouldn't mess with cranking the adjustments back and forth.

Or you could get a scope with BDC.
